Today we’ve got the World’s first online review of the Casio EX-Z200 for you. The 10 megapixel Casio EX-Z200 is the first Casio compact to feature a 28mm wide-angle, 4x zoom lens, offering a focal length of 28-112mm. Casio have wisely included a mechanical CCD-shift anti-shake system on the Z200 to help prevent camera-shake. The EX-Z200 uses a newly developed 1/2.3 inch CCD sensor to allow for its thinner, smaller aluminium body. Priced at $299 / £200, Mark Goldstein reviews the Casio EX-Z200.

We pretty much flipped over the Casio EXIFILM PRO EX-F1's insane rapid fire mode when we get our hands on it: 60fps still shooting, and up to a retardiculous 1200fps video for super slo-mo. David Pogue gives the full review, and spends a page lauding how freakin' fast this camera is. Besides loving the sheer rate of fire, he really digs the pre-record mode, which constantly shoots while you're just halfway pressing the shutter, so even if you're too slow to hit just the right moment, the camera

For years I’ve envisioned a future of digital cameras that would be smart enough to take more than one picture at a time, but instead would simply take a stream of pictures that you’d select from a little later. I didn’t have all the details worked out, but it seemed like the logical evolution. When I read David Pogue’s column a few minutes ago, it looks like the guys at Casio have in fact worked it out: It takes 60 pictures per second (not 60 frames of a compressed movie file, which is diff

MichaelDolan has reviewed the Casio Exilim EX-S10 and he writes -
“if you’re looking for a slim camera that you can take anywhere and that takes relatively decent photos and videos, then this Casio is a great buy. I’ve never seriously considered a Casio and have always recommended Canon P&Ss to my friends and family, but that may change with the S10. Other Casios CANNOT be assumed to “be just as good” so be careful which one you buy.”

I’m a digital photography junkie although I may not post here so often. I’ve always kept a well rounded portfolio of gadgets around including my Canon Rebel XT, a Sony HDR-SR7 HD video camcorder, and until now, I always used my Canon ELPH SD100 as my goto “pocket” camera that also did lightweight video recording just as many other consumer cameras do today. The SD100 had served quite a useful life and was an outstanding performer in all areas. However, a couple things were starting to create a

It's ironic that Casio has named this latest Exilim point-and-shoot the EX-S10, because every gramme of excess weight has been trimmed from its waif-like frame. It's a 10-megapixel camera with YouTube mode, and it's so slim we're worried we'll lose it if we turn it sideways.
It's always seemed rather cheeky that the Exilim range of compacts should include the word Card in the name -- they're thin, but they're not that thin.
