Nikon Corporation has now provided another four image samples from the soon to be released Nikon D300 digital SLR. The full size images include a couple of portraits, one landscape/scenery and one action shot. The images are taken at 200 ISO, except for one of the portraits captured at 400 ISO. Nikon D3 will be released in the Japanese market very soon. This new DSLR camera features a 12.1MP CMOS imaging sensor and is able to shoot at nine frames per second with AF tracking or eleven frames per second without. The camera also adopts a newly branded EXPEED image processor, a new 51-point AF sensor, color AF tracking, dual CF compartments, a 3-inch 922,000 pixel LCD monitor with Live View including contrast detect auto-focus, HDMI video output and a virtual horizon function. Nikon has today officially announced the 10.2 megapixel Nikon D40x, a sister digital SLR camera model to the entry level 6.1MP Nikon D40 digital SLR. From an ergonomic and design point of view there is nothing to differentiate the Nikon D40X from the Nikon D40. Nikon has today announced firmware updates for both the Nikon D80 and Nikon D40 digital SLR's.
