It's available in four colours Orange, Silver, Black and Blue for £162:

If that’s not enough, the diminutive 790SW is built like a tank and can be taken along on active outdoor adventures (like back country hiking, rock climbing, off-road biking, snorkeling, skiing, kayaking, canoeing, windsurfing, hang gliding, and white water rafting) that would oblige most users to leave the digital camera at home."

Olympus FE-230 Review

Jun 12, 2007 Filed under: Olympus

Perhaps not the best digital camera I have ever reviewed, but the Olympus FE-230 does offer pocket sized simplicity at a low price. In fact this is the cheapest pocket sized camera I can recall reviewing. It is well made and very easy to use.

Olympus SP-510 Review

Olympus MJU 1000 Review

Dec 4, 2006 Filed under: Olympus

The Olympus MJU 1000 is another camera in the MJU range that comes up short when it comes to picture quality. This is such a shame as this is one of the few weatherproof digital cameras around. With ten megapixels and being small enough to slip into a pocket the specification is a winner.

Olympus MJU 750 Review

Nov 17, 2006 Filed under: Olympus

The Olympus MJU 750 has a great specification. It is weatherproof, is more or less pocket sized, has a 5x optical zoom lens and image stabilisation. Another very useful feature is the built in photography guide. The problem is the camera is let down by its picture quality.

olympus styles 720 sw reviewA review of the Olympus Stylus 720 SW, also known as the Mju 720 SW is available at cameras.co.uk.

The Olympus Stylus 720 SW is an ultra compact all weather digital camera with 7.1 megapixels resolution, a 3x optical zoom and a large 2.5 inch LCD display. It is also shock proof and offers useful features, such as image stabilization.

The review conclusion:
“In terms of features and picture quality the Olympus MJU 720SW is a pretty standard digital camera. The fact that it is waterproof to a depth of 3m and shockproof from a height of 1.5m makes it stand out from the rest. If these features are important to you then I cannot think of many drawbacks of this camera and it more or less has the field to itself.”
