I've posted my review of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-L10, a digital SLR that features a swiveling LC, live view, and an image stabilized kit lens.

Just Posted! Our review of the latest Panasonic 'super zoom', the Lumix DMC-FZ18. Essentially an upgraded version of the FZ8 the new model is one of several models released this year to sport a whopping 18x (28-504mm equiv.) zoom lens and an 8MP CCD sensor. We were slightly underwhelmed by the last 18x / 8MP camera we reviewed, but Panasonic has an excellent track record when it comes to image quality and usability, so we had high hopes for the FZ18. Did it live up to them? Check out the comprehensive review after the link to find out!...

Panasonic DMC FX100 Review

Oct 19, 2007 Filed under: Panasonic

The Panasonic DMC FX100 is a very good, smaller compact digital camera. It takes decent photos in most situations. It is also very strong when it comes to ease of use. With 12 megapixels you should have no problem producing large prints.

The Panasonic DMC FZ18 offers an even longer zoom lens than most super zoom cameras (18x). Picture quality is very good and you will also find more than enough features to keep you busy. Well worth a closer look.

Considering its price tag the Panasonic DMC LS60 is an impressive camera. Overall I found it to be one if the best digital cameras to be available for under 100 pounds. Don’t be put off by the fact it only has six megapixels as this is enough for high quality eight by eleven inch prints.

I really like the Panasonic DMC FX50. It has some useful features (image stabilisation, extra large LCD screen, wide angle lens). Even more importantly it takes excellent photos and is easy to use. Recommended.

Panasonic DMC FX3 Review

Nov 16, 2006 Filed under: Panasonic

The Panasonic DMC FX3 is available at a fairly generous price. Overall the camera is a pretty solid offering. Build quality and picture quality are both good and the camera is certainly easy to use. It is also one of the few pocket sized cameras to offer image stabilisation.

panasonic lumix fz50 reviewPhotography Blog has posted a review of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50, a dSLR like digital camera with a 12x optical zoom and 10.2 megapixels resolution. With optical image stabilization and ISO speeds of up to 1600, the FZ50 should be well equipped to make use of the long zoom without the use of a tripod.

The reviewer recommends the Panasonic DMC-FZ50 and writes:
“The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50 is simply a joy to use, offering a DSLR-like experience whilst avoiding some of the problems that DSLRs have (principally dust on the sensor and the lack of live view via the LCD screen). It’s a stylish, straight-forward, advanced camera with that 12x Leica zoom lens as its main attraction. […] If you’re really interested in the massive focal range on offer and you don’t want a “proper” DSLR, then the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50 should still find a place on your shopping list, despite that persistent issue of noise.”

panasonic lumix dmc fx50 reviewThe Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX50 has been tested by Digital Camera Info. The Lumix DMC-FX50 is an ultra compact point and shoot camera with 7.2 megapixels resolution and a very large 3 inch display. Interesting features include the 3.6 times optical zoom lens, supported by image stabilization. On top of that the FX50’s lens allows wide angle shots (28mm, 35mm equivalent). Supporting ISO speeds of up to 3200, the Panasonic FX50 should be well equipped for low light or fast action shooting.

The review results:
“[…] The chunk of plastic and metal is less than an inch thick and slides into pockets and purses for easy transportation. […] Better still, it is easy to use. […] Everything about the FX50 isn’t this good though. Its images are so noisy that they look like painted pictures with messy brush strokes. The auto focus system doesn’t handle low light well at all, so pictures are bound to be blurry despite the image stabilization and wide manual ISO range.”
