There has been a leaked pic of the new Samsung GX-20 DSLR online. It features sensor-based image stabilization, a 2.7-inch LCD, one-press RAW formatting, and ISO up to 3200. Among its collection of CES releases, Samsung announced two new entry-level digital cameras in addition to three new L-series models on Sunday. New cameras include the basic S760 and S860, and the more well-speced L100, L110, and L210.

Samsung's new i8 camera/PMP follows in the functional tradition of the company's i85, offering a feature set aimed to combine two pocket-size devices into a single unit. On the camera side, the i8 offers typical specs for a current compact: 8 megapixels, a 3x zoom, and a 2.7-inch LCD screen.

Convergence -- huh! What is it good for? Absolutely nuthin'! No wait, that's war. Convergence is a nice idea -- cuts down on chargers for a start -- but is rarely implemented well. Samsung went to CES as well but not for the same bragging reasons most companies went for. You can’t help but love this ultra-thin i8 design, however. It features a 8-megapixel sensor and a glossy finish, and comes equipped with a 3x optical zoom, a 2.7-inch LCD monitor. It support MP3 playback with the slideshow feature that plays audio while images pass by, and can watch MPEG, AVI, MOV, WMV and ASF files on the LCD, as well as shoot MPEG-4 video at 800 x 592 resolution. You’ll have to wait until February to but this $299 for this beauty.

CES 2008: More from Samsung with three new L series compacts - all taking advantage of Digital Image Stabilization and Intelligent Face Recognition. They also share a 3x optical zoom - the L210 taking the resolution lead with 10.1 million to the L100 and L110s 8.2 megapixels. The L100 will be available from February for £99 with the L110 (£129) and L210 (£149) following in March.

CES 2008: Alongside the NV24HD, Samsung also launched three new NV cameras without the high definition recording capability but featuring the latest processing technology for improved image quality and faster operation. First up is the NV40 - 10 megapixels and a 3x zoom are backed up with dual image stabilization. The display is a generous 2.5" and adapts to changing light conditions whilst the controls take the grid form known as 'Smart Touch'. The NV30 drops the pixel count to 8 million and omits the optical stabilization in favor of an all-electronic system. The 'baby' NV4 has a non-protruding 3x zoom lens and 8 megapixels and also uses a more conventional button arrangement. All three will be available from February 2008 priced at £149, £179 and £199 for the NV4, NV30 and NV40 respectively.

Samsung is coming out with camcorders left and right this year. This one in particular is the SC-HMX20C. It Captures video in progressive Full HD 1080p, 8GB of internal flash memory; SDHC / MMC+ expansion slot1, 1/8-inch 6.4-megapixel CMOS sensor, 10x optical zoom, 300fps slow-motion recording mode for up to 10 seconds, 4-megapixel still image capture, 2.7-inch wide LCD touchscreen display, iCheck button for easy access to memory / battery levels, USB 2.0 and PictBridge connections, and Component, S-Video and composite outputs. Unfortunately you’ll have to wait until August to get this one. $300

Samsung has unveiled the 8.1 mega pixel L100, the 10.1 mega pixel L110 and the 10.1 mega pixel L210 digital cameras.

The NVD24 has is unique from other Samsung cameras because unlike others, it has the ability to record in HD, 720p (1280×720) resolution, at 30 frames per second as well as being docked in a Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) cradle that an HDMI connector that connects to an HDTV.
